Frequently Asked Questions

What does my child need to wear?

All Players are issued with an academy hoody and T-shirt on the first morning of camp and these can be worn.  Alternatively, players can wear their own choice of clothing to play in.  A change of clothing, waterproofs and a towel are all advisable.

Is it all contact coaching?

The Pro Academies aim is to introduce young players to the training style of professional Rugby players.  Over the duration of the academy, players will experience a range of small sessions based on developing specific skills.  Only children over the age of 9 will take part in contact Rugby sessions, those under 9 will do tag drills.

Do they need to bring anything else?

A packed lunch is required for each day of camp, as are healthy snacks and drinks.  All players will need boots and indoor trainers.

How can I make sure my child is having fun?

We can pretty much guarantee it! But if you are genuinely concerned you are more than welcome to call the office at any point during the camp and the office staff will be able to call the coaching team to get an update for you.

Is there any medical care on site?

Of course.  Should any accident occur there is always at least one qualified first aider on site.
